About Gabe Rusk

Gabe's current research and work focuses on freedom of the press, the First Amendment, free speech, and protecting journalism in an open society.

Gabe Rusk received his BA in Philosophy and Religion from the University of Denver while on a debate scholarship. While at DU he was selected as the only student from the university to spend an academic year at the University of Oxford where he received honors in Philosophy and Religion courses. Gabe returned to the University of Oxford to complete his Masters Degree with a focus on US legal history, the First Amendment, and religious pluralism. At Oxford, he won best floor speech at the Oxford Debate Union, and spearheaded the Religion Debate. In HS Gabe also won the national debate Tournament of Champions. Over the years Gabe has also been a college and high school championship-level debate coach.
